Balansa and Arrowleaf clovers produce very large quantities of dry matter. They are ideally suited to hay and silage pasture blends. Both types of seed are commonly used in high-density legume mixes for fixing nitrogen back into the soil through rhizobium activity. Balansa clover grows mainly in spring as temperature increases. Arrowleaf and Balansa clovers are both aerial seeding
